Solar Eclipse (Hindi: Surya Grahan)
Eclipse definition: The partial or total blocking of light of one celestial object by another. An eclipse of the sun or moon occurs when the Earth, Moon and Sun are aligned (Place or arrange (things) in a straight line).
Solar eclipse: In solar eclipse the Moon comes between the Sun and Earth.
This year, An annual solar eclipse occur on June 21, 2020. When the solar eclipse occurs, the moon passes between the Earth and Sun, thereby totally or partly Obscuring (hiding) the image of the Sun for a viewer on Earth.

This solar eclipse is also called “rings of fire”.
Do’s and Don’ts on this day
Do’s :
1.
One should use special-purpose solar filters or
eclipse glasses in order to protect your eyes.
2.
If you want to drive it is advised people should
drive with their headlights on and safely park their car before observing the
event.
Don'ts :
1.
People are advised not to stare directly at the
sun.
2.
Driving during solar eclipse is not recommended.
As per the religious beliefs, many people in India don’t worship or visit temple during this time. Cooking during Surya Grahan is prohibited.
It is also advised to avoid grains and cereals like flour, maida, black gram etc. Anything that increases the temperature of the body and makes it difficult to digest, must be avoided during the eclipse as it can lead to several digestion related issues.
